Calibration Engineer (f/m)

Join us as a Camera Calibration Engineer to work on computer vision, software engineering, and hardware-related (our famous mapping trolley) projects!

You will work on:

  •  Developing the software and procedures for the calibration of our trolley and its sensors such as cameras, lasers and IMUs
  • Developing new methods to improve the calibration accuracy as well as to advance the calibration process
  • Pushing our data quality to the next level

 

You have:

  • Previous expertise in the calibration of sensors like cameras, lasers or IMUs with and without calibration targets
  • Deep interest in 3D geometry, correspondence problems and sensor models.    Completed a degree in Electrical Engineering & IT, Computer Science, or similar with a good academic track record
  • Significant experience in C++ development and strong coding skills
  • Strong analyticals skill for solving complex problems
  • Great verbal communications and fun working both in a team & on independent projects

 

You are:

  • Passionate about sensors and their data
  • Understanding that small numbers do not mean small impact
  • Willing and capable to familiarize yourself with challenging new topics and tasks
  • Fluent in English, German is optional

 

We will be thrilled if you have:

  • Built and calibrated your own sensor rig
  • Experience in maintaining or contributing to open-source software, e.g. on GitHub
  • Already worked with C++ Libraries like Boost, Eigen, OpenCV, PCL or likewise
  • Experience in computer vision, robotics, sensors, 2D/3D correspondence problems, optimization techniques or GPU programming
  • Passion for our technology!

 

We are looking for experienced team members which are interested to relocate abroad.
