Functional Safety Engineer (m / f)

Responsibilities :

• You must be challenging and forward-looking
• You need to take the role of Safety Manager (m / f) in development projects and are responsible for securing the implementation of functional safety requirements in the projects
• You will be responsible for creation of Safety Plan and Assessment Planning is one of your tasks
• You will be responsible for assessing ISO 26262 compliant safety concepts and architectures for electrical and hybrid drives in the automotive sector
• You will be responsible for advise on safety specifications for the disciplines / subsystems in ongoing series projects
• You will be responsible for controlling project reviews with regard to functional safety is one of your tasks
• You will be responsible for developing measures for the continuous improvement of safety culture, e.g. By creating guidelines and conducting trainings

Your qualifications – sound and specific :

• You have a completed university degree preferably in the field of electrical engineering, automotive engineering or mechatronics
• You have many years of professional experience in the automotive industry, ideally in the development of alternative drive systems
• You have experience in control engineering, drive technology, power electronics and / or electrical machines as well as development projects
• You provide relevant expertise in the field of functional safety and safety standards (IEC 61508 / ISO 26262 / ISO 13849)

Required :

• Knowledge of common tools for safety analysis, comprehensive technical understanding in the field of drive technology, power electronics and electrical machines.
• Knowledge of the FMEA / FTA methodology and knowledge of the product lifecycle management process will bring you along.
• German and English are very good spoken and written

Skill set required : Functional Safety, FMEA/ FTA , Software Development processes and life cycle, QA/ QT, Product life cycle, ISO 26262, ISO 13849, IEC 61508 etc. .
